INTRODUCTION
How to Order
When you want to order anything from MegaDisc, you can do it
. by filling out the form provided in every MegaDisc package (ORDER form);
. by simply writing a note to us (using our Freepost 80 service - ie, you
don't need to use a stamp);
. by telephoning us on (02) 959 3692 or freecall 008 227 418 and using
either Bankcard, Mastercard or Visa, or
. by sending us a Fax on (02) 959 3525 if you have access to such device.
Payment
Payment by cheque, money order or direct deposit is preferred on bigger
items, rather than by credit card (it means we can keep the prices lower by
avoiding the high the bank commissions!), but credit cards are fine if you
prefer.
Direct Deposit
To make a direct deposit to our bank account: go to any National Australia
bank, and fill out a deposit slip with our details and the amount you're
depositing, just as if you were depositing in your own bank account. The
tellers will help if you have any problem. Our details are:

Bank Number: 082 212
Account Number: 3647 3651
Then just let us know you've done it, by faxing the deposit slip, or
calling us.
Particularly for larger orders, this is a very efficient method.
Answering Service
If you get our answering service when you phone, please leave your name,
number and order and we'll get back to you immediately.

ORDERING DISKS
Service
We get disks out WITHIN 2 DAYS of receiving your order, but almost always
the next day. Dealers are welcome to order any of our products at any time
- we'll send out any PD disks you may want for re-copying for your
customers.
Minimum Order
We really do lose money if someone orders a single disk from us, so to keep
ourselves in business we have to have a minimum order of $15 - this is
pretty fair I think, considering that we have a Freecall number and
Freepost for orders from anywhere in Australia, and we include the cost of
postage. It is also particularly necessary for credit card orders, due to
the paperwork and bank charges involved. (However, we're willing to waive
this requirement for subscribers to MegaDisc who can do no wrong!)
Catalogue Disk Update Anytime
You can send your Catalogue-on-Disk in at any time for free updating,
preferably with a stamped self-addressed envelope (if you're not ordering
any other disks).
No Added Postage Costs and FREEPOST for Orders
Note that we do NOT add anything for post and packaging on disk orders, ie,
no hidden extras at all (except for overseas orders where 7.5% should be
added for postage). Note our FreePost 80 service - you don't need a stamp
when sending an order.
Get 11 PD Disks for the Price of 10
If you order 10 PD disks, you're entitled to a free extra disk of your
choice - just nominate which one. So as a subscriber, if you order 11
disks, you get them for $25 (make sure you remind us!). Non-subscribers can
get 11 disks for $35.
Discount for Pensioners and Students
If you send in some kind of evidence that you're a pensioner or a student,
such as a photocopy of a pensioner bus concessions or student card, you can
get 10% off any disk order you're making from MegaDisc.
Overseas Orders
If you're ordering from out of Australia, just add 7.5% to whatever prices
we have, to cover Air Mail postage and packaging.
Freecall Order Line
This means that when you make an order by phone, you don't pay for the
phone call, we do. The number is
008 227 418
and it should be used for ordering only, or by MegaDisc contributors who
want to discuss something. Note that for some reason known best to Telecom,
Sydney residents can't use the freecall number.
Call Anytime
If you make a telephone order, you can call at any time including after
hours - leave a message with the Answering Service. Just ring 959 3692 if
you are in Sydney, or the freecall number from elsewhere in Australia.
Dicky Disks and Other Problems
Don't forget, if you ever have any problem with any of the disks we send
you, or you just have a problem you'd like some advice about, we can either
solve the problem for you, or put you onto someone who can.

ORDERING HARDWARE & SOFTWARE FROM MEGADISC MAIL ORDER
Discounts and Freebies
1. Subscribers get a 5% discount on all prices.
2. All orders get free disks:
* with all orders up to $100, a free Catalogue-disk or other PD disk of
your choice (please ask);
* with all orders up to $500, 5 PD disks of your choice (ask for them);
* with all orders $500 or more, a 3-issue subscription to MegaDisc (or
extension to your current subscription).
So before you go ahead and buy that product from somewhere else, check with
MegaDisc for our deals and prices - we'll match authentic prices quoted
elsewhere, and still give you the freebies mentioned above, so you can't
lose! What's more you'll be helping your favourite disk-mag to maintain the
quality of our products and services.
Note that the 10% discount on MegaDisc and PD available to pensioners and
students doesn't apply for mail order hardware and software items (there'd
be no margin left!).
All Prices are inclusive of Sales Tax.
Post and Packing
Generally, add $10 P&P for items by overnight courier. For some items, such
as CD-ROMs, you can have it sent by mail for $5 - check with us if you want
items sent by mail rather than courier.
Despatch
Please note that we do our best to provide the goods requested as soon as
possible (as anyone who has used our services knows) - it may happen
occasionally that some goods are temporarily out of stock, and if so, we'll
let you know. If you receive a faulty item, call us immediately to arrange
a replacement.
If It Isn't Listed - Ask About It
The list of hardware and software doesn't exhaust what we have available -
just ask us.
Price Changes
Prices are as stated at the time of publication, but in the computer
industry there is often much volatility so please check with us for any
changes.
